Please be advised that the legendary Chapter L gang will be giving away the Region A Wanderer Plaque on Saturday, November 21, at Western Sizzlin located at 801 Martha Berry Blvd in Rome, Georgia. We will eat at 4:00PM and give the plaque away at 5:00PM. We invite all our fellow members from Region A to come to the Southeast’s Number One Most Liveable Small City and take home the region’s most coveted plaque. We look forward to seeing all who can make the trip.

Well folks We just finished our first combined meeting. Tonight Chapter R and Chapter L had a joint meeting in Cartersville in what might be called an historical event. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits. It was a great time spent together, and I must say that David Kleist (Herr von Flippinflappin) did an outstanding job in providing the entertainment. I wish we had taped it! Thanks to Tim and Deborah Banks and the rest of the Chapter R gang for making the reservations and braving the weather. We enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know the Chapter R folks. Thanks also to Dave and Betty Andrade and Tommy Martin who came representing our district staff. It meant a lot to have them there.
You can always tell the success of a get-together when people refuse to leave even after the meeting is long over! We all agreed that we would do the joint meeting again in the spring time. Tonight showed the comradie and friendship that exist throughout the GWRRA organization. It is one of the reasons that we joined GWRRA and definitely the reason that causes us to stay. I can hardly wait until spring when we will meet together once again. Thanks also to all the Chapter L gang who came. We had a great showing and along with Chapter R we all HAD THE BEST COMBINED MEETING EVER!!!
